Hi there! I'm Lucas.

I have always been drawn to technology. From a young age I was the "nerd" in my group of friends, spending most of my free time on a computer or playing video games. When it came time to choose a degree, computer science was the natural choice.

Partway through, I landed my first internship at a Brazilian start-up, and seven months later a second one at Shopify in Canada. When it ended, Shopify offered me a full-time position, and I dropped out to take it. I stayed in Canada for four years before moving back to my hometown, João Pessoa, where I am based now.

In my spare time you can find me travelling and exploring new places (especially beaches), watching movies and TV shows, or geeking around with board games. I also work on side projects, and I am particularly interested in where UX and software engineering meet.
